350 4 bolt main engines

I have been cleaning up and moving stuff around to get room for my panel build and came across two engines I pulled years back that I forgot about.

Thay are both 350 4 bolt main engines. One was in a 69' GMC 1500 and the other was in a 71' GMC 1500. Both trucks were rotten but I drove both home.

The 69 has a block casting #3932386 Ran good but smoked a little and has been sitting on the stand. I would def. go thru the engine.

The 71 has a block casting #3970010 Ran good and still has the Automatic hooked up to it.

Both are runners but if I sold them they would be listed as needing rebuilt.

Trying to get an idea of what they would be worth nowadays.

thanks
Richard

Most women like the strong, silent type… Fortunately for me, my wife prefers the out-of-shape, mouthy type.

Cores (around here) don't seem to go for much, $100-$150.

I have had better luck parting engines out. I am involved with the circle track racing scene around here, and guys are willing to spend $200 for a stock bore block, or the right set of stock heads, so they can build their racing engines using non-raced virgin parts.

Re: 350 4 bolt main engines

the 3970010 is the high nickle block that supposed to be sought after but I also have 2 in my garage and had posted them both on this board as complete carb to pan for 150 and got no interest at all.
