Who has axles?
Ok I've decided to go 5 lug sooner or later. I have the spindles from 72 and all new brake stuff for $110. Now I need options for the rear! It's a factory 64 LSD. I'm wondering who has the best price on axles? This is probably going to be my winter project. Or what about red rolling the stock axles?

Re: Who has axles?
try here http://www.earlyclassic.com/catalog.aspx or http://www.moserengineering.com/axle...loy-axles.html re-drilling is ok if you have someone you can trust to get everything on center and correctly spaced otherwise i would opt for the custom axles

Re: Who has axles?
I've looked at EEC before but really I'm wondering if anybody offers 17 spline axles.. I don't know for sure what my rear is. It's a 64 style rear with the big track bar mount. It's a factory LSD too and still very tight being the truck only had like 60k on it.. If I can get the 5 lug swap done for under $500 I'd be happy.

Re: Who has axles?
Easily done with aftermarket axles, you can probably even get new 5lug brake drums and stay under budget if you know how to install yourself. New drums usually go for under 60 bucks a piece shipped.

Re: Who has axles?
If your differential has the panhard bar mount on the passenger side axle tube, then more than likely the axles are 17 spline.
No one makes 17 spline axles that I have seen. I'm not sure if anyone will make them either. In your situation, I would pul the axles and make sure the wheel bearing surface is good. If so, then have the stud holes plugged and re-drilled to 5x5. You will also need to have the hub register turned down to aprox 3.05".

Re: Who has axles?
Try these guys http://www.dutchmanaxles.com/ . I had my 5 lug axles made by these guys. They make a lot of custom stuff. I'm only a couple of miles from their shop so I just visited the shop to order my 5 lug axles. Chrome moly with lugs installed for$255.
