WTB - '87 Crew Cab Seat Belts
I know this is a shot in the dark, but I would like to see if anyone has anything laying around...Light Saddle (Tan) color and must be in good shape.
Don't point me to LMC, because their replacement seat belts are not correct for my truck. Their units are single retractable (only one for the shoulder with a fixed lap belt) and my seat belts have dual retractors (one for lap belt and one for the shoulder). Thanks!

Re: WTB - '87 Crew Cab Seat Belts
Single Cabs are different than the crew cab.
The fronts out of the Suburban are the same as the crew cab and the rears from the Suburban are similar but missing an extension plate but I can take them anyway... Thank you though!

I have a set, any chance you have a set of red ones in good shape?

Re: WTB - '87 Crew Cab Seat Belts
I do not have any red ones...I have a line on some good condition gray ones though.
Do you want to get me some photos of the set you have? Is it light saddle? Condition? Posted via Mobile Device

I'll have to dig them out, they were fine I think other than just needing a good cleaning. Were barely used I believe cause the truck was a farm truck and it is an 89.

Re: WTB - '87 Crew Cab Seat Belts
Let me know when you can dig them out because I need to make sure the plastic covers for the retractors are all in good shape. I will re-dye them and get the belts themselves re-webbed in the right color.

Re: WTB - '87 Crew Cab Seat Belts
Why don't you just re-dye the grey ones then? wouldn't that be a hell of alot less hassle?

Re: WTB - '87 Crew Cab Seat Belts
Yes it would be less hassle...unless yours are in better shape. Are yours out of a Suburban or a crew? The other problem is, one of the lastic covers may be missing for one of the rears...no good!

Re: WTB - '87 Crew Cab Seat Belts
The rear 3 point belts in the crews are the same as a regular cab 3 point belt of the same years. They changed the shape and size sometime after 84.

I seem to remember buying a set out of a Suburban and they did not work, although it might have been the rears that were the problem? This was about two years ago, so my recollection is fuzzy. Quote:
That is making it a pain to find some new ones for the back because I have tan on one side, and red on the other, but the rest of my interior is blue? I remember someone saying* that the crews had the weld-nut under a push plug on the pillar for shoulder belts, but either my truck didn't have a hole to be plugged, or I pulled the plug out and there was no wled-nut? My truck was a government stripped-down model so I assumed they made it as cheap as possible and that was why it wasn't there? *I also remember someone saying the rear seats were a direct replacement from a regular cab to the rear of a crew, and while the seat probably is, the mounting brackets are not. I didn't find that part out until I tossed my ratty seat hoping to replace it with my nice re-upolstered reg cab seat.

[quote=kevinr1970;5121005]Are you sure about that?
I seem to remember buying a set out of a Suburban and they did not work, although it might have been the rears that were the problem? This was about two years ago, so my recollection is fuzzy. [quote/] I am sure. I have used front Burb belts in one of my crews. The rear belts could be used with a little modification. The rear crew and Regular cabs have an extra little angle bracket to make the assembly sit level on the angled floor. Quote:
Yeah seats are almost the same(front benches don't fold forward, I have used the fold mechanism from a regular cab seat to convert it) brackets aren't. You could use regular cab tracks in the rear by adding the rear holes and nuts under the floor, it would give adjustment of the seat but cut down on legroom. The rear brackets move the seat rearward, even less room for a sub box... Posted via Mobile Device

Re: WTB - '87 Crew Cab Seat Belts
Let me know ASAP! that would be great if the plastic covers are all in great condition! Even if the belts themselves need to be re-webbed with new material I will take them!
