question about 73 parts for my 68
Hey: Would like to know if 1973 p/u's with discs brakes would fit on my 68 stepside. Want to lower it, but I really do not want to spend a kings ransom on the whole disc conversion kit, plus the lowering kit on top of that. I have access to a 73, would like to know what parts as far as suspension would fit. Thanks for the help. Jover

Yes, it will work, I swapped the whole front cradle from a 79 onto my 69 in about and hour. You just need to drill 2 holes and oblong 2 others.its an easy swap.

2 Bolts
need to be oblonged 1 on each side. You can allso take the top A-Arms and swap them over but you will need the tie rods from the newer 1.It is alot easier to sap the whole craddle over as mentioned before,it's a pain in the #@& to do it with the motor still in your truck.

so that means if I do a 73 swap to my 68, then I could go to autozone and buy calipers and spindles, and take them home and bolt them to my truck. As you can see, motors and tranny's not a problem, but when it comes to the suspension, we're definetely shortbus riders!!!! LOL
