That truck looks very unhappy, and needs a new home. You better go get it, Jumbo.

Yep, if the 59 runs and drives take it to the all Ford picnic when it comes up and you might have to call your dad for a ride home. I had a 57 Panel almost that same color with a real nasty 327 in it in the mid 70's . It only got about five miles to the gallon but it would run heads up with a 750 Honda bike for a city block. |

Re: a good find on craiglist
The thing that scares me is the words "bill of sale only".
I don't know about anybody else but ive had a heck of a time with a car in this state ( a ford haha) that i had bought and was titled to a dead man. I eventually managed to part ways with it, but it was a pain in the rear. This state unfortunately has guys like us over the barrell with old rigs, when many states out there will title it with a bill of sale. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: a good find on craiglist
getting title aint to hard here you first get vin number checked to make sute it aint stolen most time there not then you can send a letter to original owner and they send back so you can get a release formt hem or you go to state patrol for the inspection and get the three year registration ,,then you get a title , i done that before ,most times you just send a letter to olympia here in wa and they will give you the owners name and adress ,,but it sometimes can be a pain , no the ford dont run its solid from firewall back no rust been sitting since 1969 in a barn dents on front fenders .

Very cool.
If it wasn't on the other side of the country I'd nab it. |

I've got a rig sitting in the yard that changed hands about three times before I got it and never had the title changed. I have the title and it is signed but it is also dated. It's going to cost me 100.00 extra to change it into my name if I ever manage to do it. I should have sold it when junkers were bring so much money a few months ago and not have to worry about it. The main thing on something like that panel is to make sure it isn't a stolen vehicle or doesn't have a lean against it. And it doesn't hurt to search through any and all papers that might be in the rig as I found the title to one that I got that "didn't have" a title in a bunch of papers in the glove box a couple of years ago. |
