O2 sensor location
Just getting ready to do the exhaust on my 55 and just wanted to know if the placement of the o2 sensor is important. I know I can get away with just the top sensors.

Re: O2 sensor location
within the first 6-10" of exhaust seems pretty common. Its important to try to keep the sensor on the top part of the pipe, from 10-2oclock positions.
Yes, you only need the upper 02's.

Re: O2 sensor location
gotta ask... as far as rear O2s are concerned why arn't they needed and if I have them already, would it do any good to install them?

Re: O2 sensor location
They are only there to make sure the cats are doing their job. If you have no cats, no sense in having the rear O2's.
