Neat! I've also got the dealer emblem and I plan on putting it back on the truck. I think it was on the driver's side extension. City Motors was on the main drag (Central Ave) in Great Falls and I used to deliver papers there as a young kid.

That would be their new store out on 10th Avenue South. The original one was at 8th and Central.

checkout the freemont factory tour.Also anybody have a idea on markings,numbers, anything like that to find out what dealership
the rigs came from.Like i said in my earlier post i bought mine in tacoma washington but would like to trace its roots.there has been some hot rodding done to this truck already.not alot of original pieces on it.

I know that both of the 65's I've had now were made in the Freemont plant. I have no idea where they were originally purchased from. Maybe I should pull Tanya's seat out one day and see if there is a build sheet in there.....

Mine's from Tarrytown NY plant. Sold at Norton Chevrolet in Philadelphia, Pa. on 6-4-65 according to the Protect-O-Plate booklet.

Nope, my was built in Baltilmore and sent to a dealer in Kittenridge, PA

I live in Janesville the plant did close which was hell because of how many people were working there but there has been talk of it re opening

Interesting thread! I love it that I had found out when I purchased mine back in 1998, by researching the vin #, mine was built in Oakland, CA and according to the seller, it was first sold to a fellow in Redlands, CA. I believe I'm the fourth owner. So mine's always been a local truck here in CA. And it's going to remain this way, at least 'til I am good and dead! Haha!

58 built in Oakland and sold in Fresno.
63 built in Oakland, and sold in Fresno
65 built in Janesville, and sold at OK Chevy in Powell Wy.
72 built in Oakland, and sold in Susanville, CA

of the three fremont trucks 1. vinner chevrolet denver 2. salem oregon capital chevrolet 3. chino cailf. vista chevrolet . 4. built at janesville kokjer chevrolet sidney neb .
