Part out or not ???
Need some help guys, I've had my short fleet bed complete for sale
for a while and no one has shown any interest at 850.00 it has no rust steel floor not beat up new tail gate and head board sides are drilled for trim, it has lite damage over both wheel openings nothing major. Also had it rino lined. What do you think it would be worth parted out? or just sit on it till when ever?? Really would appreciate any input pro or con. Thanks Joe

Re: Part out or not ???
Personally, I haven't seen too many short beds sell for more than $500 unless they've been redone and mint shape. There's lots of bed/frame combo's out there for $500-1000 from what I've found, so that's no surprise if you can't sell just the bed for $850. If you're not in a hurry for cash, keep and maybe you'll get the right buyer one day. Out here you'd be sitting on that for probably a good 10 yrs lol Unless it's around $400-500 it wouldn't sell out here at least.
And to the cabs comment, send them up here. I got people looking for rust free cabs all the time. Cabs sell fast up here if rust free. Nate

Re: Part out or not ???
Nate,,,
Thanks for your input. Isn't thats the way it works all the good rust free stuff is on the other side of the world from you? Around here rust is a problem and this bed is rust free, so hopefully i wont have to wait 10 years or who knows there maybe a swb cab and chassis in my future, its stored inside and not hurting a thing over in the corner.

Re: Part out or not ???
After I saw your thread, while looking on CL I found a SWB truck for $900obo locally lol Body was beat up but bed was good. I'm contemplating it cause I could find a frontend in great shape cheap enough.
It's all about the area you live in as far as prices go, but at the same time these trucks are also plentiful. There's a ton of them out there if you know where to look. Nate
