Drop spindle question
I found a pair of belltech 2" spindles I can get for pretty cheap. They were bought for an 80's c-10 but that's all the guy can remember. He wasn't able to find any stamping or numbers on them.
Is there any way to see what width rotor/caliper they fit without it being a coin toss? Thanks

Re: Drop spindle question
Do they have a "3100" or a "3200" cast into them?

Re: Drop spindle question
Where would I look? He said he didn't see any numbers (I was going to just contact belltech.) Thanks

Re: Drop spindle question
It's usually cast on the lower "leg" of the spindle.
(below the spindle itself) Can you post a picture of them?

Re: Drop spindle question
If you have 1-1/4" rotors, you can easily modify the spindles if they are for 1" rotors. You have to grind down the area where the caliper bolts. I did a pair with an electric hand grinder, took my time so everything was still flush.

The 1" rotors take a different inner bearing, I believe. (one of the two bearings is a different part number than the 1-1/4" rotor)
