Time to bring the old longhorn into the 21st century
My parts truck is a wrecked 00 GMC Z 71, smooth running 5.3, with about 130000 on the clock. Also many good body parts left to sell! This is my 1st rodeo on the swap, so I am sure you guys can help(espec on the electronics). I am lookin foward to that 18-20 mpg , that the fuelie plays on the hyway.....but still will be rowin that 6 spd Richmond box. Sound like fun? crazyL

Re: Time to bring the old longhorn into the 21st century
Yes, I think I have , Oreillys has a flywheel that is about .400 thicker & should run the old style press plate. It also requires a different pilot bearing(parts listed from Leevons build). I am not sure about the starter, with the cast bell....got some tear down before I get started(it cold here) Once I get the thing measured & "planted", I will no doubt have many questions on the harness! crazyL
