Actually Mike, I got the first box of stuff yesterday, and when I checked it today, that piece was in there. But you did tell me you were sending two boxes, and I did want all of the dash heater stuff, although I am not sure what else you are referring to..

I'll check the box and see if anything is missing.

Do you know what that piece I circled in this last post is?

Yes! There is a second box bigger than the first. It went from post office because of cost/size. Everything else is in it. I have the vents if you still need them... One is vacuum operated. The piece you circled goes in the cowl panel at the base of the windshield under that panel. On the firewall side, if I'm not mistaken. It's hard to explain but I'll get you a picture of the hole in the fire wall it went through. You should have everything this truck had on it other than the vents. Please let me know if anythings missing after the second box comes and I'll look for anything else out there but you should have it all.

Re: parting out 72 GMC LB BB

Ok, sorry if i am being confusing but I was wrong - the piece that I circled was not in the box. It was another piece that looks a lot like it and I have no idea what either piece is for or where it goes.

I am attaching a photo that shows which I got and didn't get; I still have no idea what either piece does or if I even need them.

Ok, while I could be missing something, the only other things that I am still waiting on and are probably in the 2nd box is the outside heater box, the washer bottle and bracket, and the dome light. I also do need the outer heater box. I said that in my posts, but looking back at them, I can see where I might have been confusing. Is the outer heater box in the 2nd box?

It looks like one of the dash vents that sit on top of the dash cracked in shipping, but not a big deal as I can take that piece off my non-A/C cab.

Sorry for any hassle!

Thanks!

Darien

Re: parting out 72 GMC LB BB

Ok, this is my last post, I promise. I re-read your response (would have been nice if I had read it properly the first time), and I don't know what vents you are talking about that i did not get. It looks like everything I wanted for inside the cab is in this first box.

Are the vents something I might want to buy? Can you post a pic so I can see what you are talking about?

Thanks!

Re: parting out 72 GMC LB BB

Here are some manuals I thought I could pass on to someone in need of them.
They are in good shape, I dont know enough to tell if they are original or not.
$25 each shipped was suggested on the WIW board.

William 138: harness is shipped

Michael Bustamante: PB Booster shipped but had to put the line is a different box so it didnt get bent. The line is conning priority since it didnt cost much more over parcel post.

Chewychevy67: Replied to your pm. I should be able to get everything you need off by this weekend. I'll post a pic after I remove the parts.

Re: parting out 72 GMC LB BB

All,
I'm making $25 boxes this weekend to get rid of the rest of this truck. Take a look at the list if there is anything you want let me know. The passenger bedside looks better than the picture is presenting. I plan to get it done and gone this weekend. Cross braces, cab mounts, I'm not keeping anything else off it.

Not sure how to ship something this large but I can work with you on sending it. I can get a pallet and secure it to that if you know a way to get it picked up. We can talk if you want a PM I'll send you my number and you can school me on shipping oversize objects. additionally, I believe Forum member Heavy Metal in my home state of Indiana has assisted many people with shipping large items.
