Cool running like new

My truck was spoiling me, It has run without a problem for the last four years. I've driven it to maine and then to florida, this spring I changed the ignition to a petronics pointless ignition. I don't know if my coil wouldn't take it or if I had other problems that I didn't know exisited but the blazer left me stranded by the roadside on saturday. I installed a new HEI distributer and all is right with the world (got rubber in 3 gears with 33" tires). This is why I love old chevy stuff, One day your hopeing not to be seen, the next you want everyone to see you. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

Congratulations on your success! I have been there a couple of times myself, but have always been running without too much trouble. I like your comment about being seen - very true!
