Is the whole assembly DOT / FMVSS 108 certified?

Some of the sleazier outfits have discovered they could emboss DOT certification on the lens if that piece met DOT when the assembly as a whole didn't.

Those look pretty interesting, it seems like a good alternative to hids. I think however they might look a bit odd when installed simply due to their styling.
