Need help with a clearance issue

I just installed 3" DJM lowering springs, CPP Modular 2.5" drop spindles and cross drilled rotors. The problem I'm having is when I set it down the ends of the lower control arms hit the back side of the rotors. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you resolve it? I am considering cutting about an 1/8" off the ends of the lower arms or removing some of the alignment shims from the top arms.

Re: Need help with a clearance issue

Seems to be a common problem with the CPP spindles. Are you using the CPP's to accommodate a big brake kit like Wilwoods? From the pics it looks like a bigger aftermarket drilled/slotted rotor on the CPP spindle.

I'm about to install a set of wilwoods which require the use of a specific CPP spindle. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't run into the same issue.

I may upgrade to bigger brakes in the future but what is pictured are stock sized slotted/ cross drilled rotors. 12" x 1.25"

Re: Need help with a clearance issue

I ended up having to grind roughly an 1/8" off the end of the control arm.

Bummer. That seems like the only viable solution, though, other than getting aftermarket tubular LCA or something, that everyone ends up resorting to.

I'll post up my experiences once I receive and do the installation and see how mine ends up.
