Torq-Thrusts
Hi guys, I found this photo in Classic trucks magazine, I think the 17´s torq-thrusts wheels are awesome.
The info in the magazine for this wheels is only 17´s X 9.5 in. Any idea about the offset in the rear wheels and the front wheels? I want to use the same wheels for my CHIQUIBABY. Fco |

Re: Torq-Thrusts
On my old 17's I ran 255/50's and 275/50's.
Look at Nitto 450 series tires.

Re: Torq-Thrusts
I think they will look great. I have ordered them for 71 chevy truck 17x8 and will use 275/50/17 Nitto tires. But the major problem is that there is a major shortage nation wide. I have checked all over and all I get is out of stock. Now a couple places localy said that I could order one. Will I need 4. So it looks like sometime in June they will apear. From what I understand is that the major distrabution house did not order enough so it caused a nation wide shortage. And this is only for the Torq Thrust rims. Pretty sad. I have finnaly saved up for them and now I have to wait.

American Racing offers 2 styles of torq-thrusts. They have the 1 piece version that are only available in certain offsets..... then they have the 2 pc. that you can get is a wide range of backspaces. The backspace that your truck needs for the 9.5" on the rear, is not available in the 1 pc. version. You would have to go with the 2 pc. version to to get the right offsets and have it look right. I think it is a great looking wheel with a classic design. Here is a link to the 2 pc. custom built Torq-Thrust on our site. - Travis |

Re: Torq-Thrusts
i bought these american racing torque thrusts 18x8 and 18x9 from a company call REV wheels through one fo their distributers for $700 shipped to my door, with lug nuts and new valve stems. REV is very helpful if you call them with a question.

Re: Torq-Thrusts
Out of stock on the 1 Pc. version, but can build the 2 pc. version in about 4 weeks. A set of 17x8's would run $1,400 for the set.

Re: Torq-Thrusts
No thanks. A little to steap for me. I ordered them from wheelsforless.com with shipping a total $789.91. Can't beat that price. If I have to wait a little longer for them fine. It just makes me mad that I finnaly saved up the money for them and I can't get them. Last week I ordered a new back window and a new master cylinder, no problem I got them.I now wish I did this early on in the year. Oh well.
