Turning radius problems
Hey ive tried to email a few member on here but I can never get a straight answer. I just put a lowering kit in my my '74 GMC 3/4 2wd and Im not pleased with the results. Its supposed to be a 3/4 drop. Anyways I want to put in drop spindles but I will run into problems with my turning radius being shortened. I just put new tires on it and they will for sure rub. If i take my inner fender out, that will give room for the tire to go up in the fender-well, but ill hardly be able to turn. I dont have the money for bags and I want to do it right. Can any of you lowered guys help me out? Can anyone show my pics of how far they can turn? Thank you for any help

Re: Turning radius problems
If you installed drop lower control arms, that is your problem. For some reason you loose turning radious, you wont have this problem with drop spindles.

Re: Turning radius problems
Yes I did put lower arms in, but I dont see how that would affect it. The wheels would still be just as close to the wheel lip. I can turn just fine now but if i go any lower the wheel will hit the fender when turning..Thank you for the info though

Re: Turning radius problems
Talk to a QUALITY allighnment shop and ask whats the max caster u can run without burning tires, other than than suspension geomentry should have remained the same.

Re: Turning radius problems
hey thanks man. I've been wondering about that. I've seen all these imports lately doing extreme camber adjustments. I just don't get it how they dont burn their tires off. Im a tech at a ford dealer and ill talk to the front end guy. Thanks again!!
