81 K20 Burb need info

Hello, My name is Rob. I've been lurking around the site for years (had a few 67-72 trucks). I've just made a deal for my first square (first inquired about it 12 years ago). 81 K20 burb. Just my style too. White/tan AC not much more... still has the original hub caps on it.

Need a little help though. It is missing the drivers side exhaust manifold and some pieces under the dash.

Anybody have a picture or casting number for the manifold?

Will all 73-87(91) squares have the same under dash equipment or is there a date range to look for?

I'll get pics of the burb soon.

Thanks

I like the white/tan and the dog dish caps sound like a bonus. Post a pic when you get a chance.

Re: 81 K20 Burb need info

I believe the missing parts under the dash are part of the AC system. The engine is an SBC.

I'm hoping to get it up and running as is... the PO said he parked it when he could no longer get in and out of it easily. Since my wife want let my buddies ride around in her suburban, this will be for us. My buddies are an 80 lb Lab and 45 lb pointer. I don't blame my wife, I don't want them in my truck either.

If I can't get it going as is, all I have to put in it is a 396 , but I if I'm going to do an engine swap, I may just go with a 6.0 and 4l80e.

I'll get out there this week for a couple of pictures. I've got to move a few other vehicles to get to the burb, so it will probably not be coming home for a couple of weeks.

Re: 81 K20 Burb need info (pics added)

Here are a few pictures...

The West Texas sun has taken its toll, but it is very straight. The odometer shows 36K. Judging from the condition of the seats and some other parts, this may be original miles. The back two tires are still holding air.
