Smile picked my first square up!

After waiting for twp and a half months I picked my new truck. Its a 79 GMC Sierra classic heavy-half. Brand new rebuilt motor got mounted, new brakes, hoses and belts, a/c works, has all the trim to. Its clear coat is faded and has minor rust. Picked it up for $1890 I think that's a good deal. My only issue is when I turn the the right turn signal on it is solid and doesn't blink. Im pretty sure that the light is not in all the way because the back right light doesn't light up all the time. Well the signal works occasionally. Any ideas? Also I am going to attempt to upload pic tomorrow night.

Re: picked my first square up!

Well I fixed the rear lights. I ended up replacing the bulbs after I dropped and broke them. I was not able to get pics today but hopefully soon!

Re: picked my first square up!

@6772fan, thank you. My square knowledge wasn't alot so after going on here I figured it was a good deal. The engine needed mounting and all that goes with that. I bought the truck from my family's mechanic for $1570 and was charged only for parts.

@motornut what year is that truck?

Re: picked my first square up!

Nice looking truck! It looks like its still in original paint which should be a single stage paint. You might be suprised at how well it will clean up with a little wet sanding and buffing!

Thank you! As far as I know everything is original except the motor rebuild. The truck from a distance looks like it has a clear coat on it still.
