Panhard bar

Wondering if anyone has used a panhard bar on a '73-'80. I have a 12 bolt that sits about 1/4" ta 3/8"s out and Im just anal enough that it bugs the crap out of me. If these bars are usable it would totally solve my problem. Oh it is also a standard leaf set up that is getting a flip kit shortly. Thanks

Re: Panhard bar

Not on these trucks but I have some experience. It will hold dead center when set properly and in a situation where the suspension doesn't move. IF the suspension travels it actually pulls the rear to the frame bracket side, not a lot unless it compresses/expands a lot. Unless you are running ruber band tires, tires flex when cornering is gonna be over 1/4 or so. Best bet space it if you have the room or better yet, get properly off set rims for the application. 1/4 - 3/8s inch is not enough clearance for a driven vehicle.
