65 Resto started today

I brought this truck home last week and got it stripped down today. I got one thing to say though, rivets suck. Anyone know what the OEM color for the trailing arms is supposed to be, I am sending the frame in to get powder coated and need to get the trailing arms done also.

All OEM, gonna go gm black and get the frame and all crossmembers, control arms, rad support and inner fenders done in the black, and trailingarms if needed. Debating wether to strip the rear end and get the housing powder coated.

I would. I did on a customers build, and it was the right choice.

Re: 65 Resto started today

I don`t think they even painted the trailing arms, they just left them raw steel...!

Re: 65 Resto started today

Moving right along there ...holy cow! The trailing arms on my '66 are black like the rest of the frame. I had a pic somewhere, but can't find it now.
