Blazer Back Seat (Another ?)

Another question for you guys... I'm looking to purchase a '72 Blazer. It will need a back seat. I'd like to find an original one, either from a Blazer or Jimmy, but am unsure what years were the same. Can you guys let me what seat is the same as was in a '72?....or were all the years different?

Also...if anyone has a black rear seat, or one that has the black on the sides, and can be reupolstered, please let me know...thanks! Oh...Including Black Belts!!!

You might try talking to PICKMUP on the 67-72parts forum. He had a seat on there last week.

You can find them. The one PICKMUP had was very nice looking. I bought one from Kilomanjaro a year or so ago. It was in great shape but no belts for $150. He shipped it via Greyhound for $35 (KS to WA)! There are a couple of people parting K5's right now so keep your eyes open. LMC has rear seat upolstery kits in their catalog too.

I was getting gas this morning and when I was leaving the place I swear there was an blazer back seat just sitting there, I couldn't get it in my K5 cause I was going to work. I'll check tonight on the way home...

You need a '69-'72 Blazer or '70-'72 Jimmy rear seat. '73-'77 Blazer/Jimmy seats look similar, but mount differently.

Yes....I still need a black one. Are the brackets hard to find for the Blazer seat?

Blazer Brackets are getting harder to find every day. I have seen a pair of Suburban brackets cut down on e-bay.

Jamie...No problem. Thanks for checking for me on the rear seat. I'll keep looking for a black one or at least one that has the black on the accessories on the seat.

I had a rear seat that was blue. I had it recovered it with black vinyl with blue and black houndstooth inserts and painted the brackets and arm rests black. It looks great (if I do say so myself)- heres a pic

1970Blazin....you can go ahead and say!!! That really looks good.

I'm trying to find an original black one; if I can't find one I'll have to settle for something else, and redo the seat cover and accessories to be black.

I hope it looks half as good as yours when I'm done...

I think the back burb 3rd seat is the same, but the brackets are different, and mine only has one arm rest??? I think that is because the person needs to enter the back seat thru that side (the pass. side with the 3rd door) BTW this back seat is for sale....how is $75???? The back second seat is too wide for a blazer...at least that is how I figured it....maybe someone else knows it different.

Diane....sell me the other one you have posted!!! ha...!!!

I'll try and keep looking for a black one that is complete with or without the belts, and if I still can't find one when I "need" the seat I'll have to settle for a different color or Burb one.

Thanks for the pics!
