Grumpy's Truck Parts in Phoenix, AZ
Was just in the shop today, and found out that after holding out in this economy for a while, they will be closing their doors in the future. I've been using them on and off for the last 13 years I've owned my truck, and will really miss having them available for a quick visit on the way home.
Sad to see them close their doors, and I hope that they'll enjoy what they can of their retirement. Good luck guys.

That is really sad, I used to live about two miles north of there and they were always handy when I really didn't want to order something.

They do believe that they will be there for a couple of more weeks. Even told me to pull my parts list together so they can get the parts for me.

Re: Grumpy's Truck Parts in Phoenix, AZ
Grumpy's was one of the older vendors out there. It's sad to see those who helped build this industry into what it has become today fall to the wayside. Maybe one of the giants will buy them up to provide for the greater Phoenix area market, which is a pretty big one.

Re: Grumpy's Truck Parts in Phoenix, AZ
I use to go to Grumpy's all the time I literally lived on the other side of the freeway from them. But there is still Chrome Guy, Arrowhead truck parts and SoCal Speed Shop but Ill miss the convenience of that place being in the North Valley.

Last time I spoke to someone there she told me they were just going to start online sales. I don't know if that has happened or if the place will fold.

Yes it did happen they closed their doors on Oct. the 13th 2012 this is on their web site. It very strange not seeing the place on the east side of I-10. Good luck to all those who got parts from them( it's a bit inconvenent w/o them) Here's what it used to look like as you drove by.

Re: Grumpy's Truck Parts in Phoenix, AZ
My Dad and Brother used to stop there frequently to buy parts. Brother just came back from Afghanistan and will be a bit frustrated he won't be able to get parts there any longer.
Make, Model and Year is another good location for hard parts, but I am not sure about body parts.

Re: Grumpy's Truck Parts in Phoenix, AZ
While it is indeed sad that another local business is closing its doors....it does not really surpise me at all with Grumpy's......I have never had any luck with that place whatsover..and the gal who ran it was always very rude and never helpful...everytime I would walk out of there, I always would think "yep, thats why its called Grumpy's".......and I know I am not the only one...as I have heard MANY stories from friends and from people on this site who have said the exact same thing.....

Re: Grumpy's Truck Parts in Phoenix, AZ
It is ad indeed I never really bought anything there but I have been using tom korinek from the board and he gets me pretty much anything I need for the same price I can order it for and I can deal directly with him if I have any issues. I would recommend anybody locally in phoenix area give him a try
