Stolen car!!!
I know this is a truck forum, but a good friend of mine had his car stolen from infront of his apartment in Jonesboro, AR Monday night. It's pretty loud and would've woke him up if it would have been started. He noticed the car gone when he got ready to go to work Tuesday morning. It's a 1984 Cutlass, gray with a black hood, carbed 6ltr, 9", nitrous, all kinds of good parts. No inner fenders, no heat/ac box, but still stock pillow topped seats inside. There were also two others stolen that same day/night, a 97 chevy pickup and a motorcycle. If anyone sees the car for sale or has any information, please call 870-378-6112. Thanks!!
Chris

Re: Stolen car!!!
By chriz28 at 2012-09-04 Sorry for the huge pics. They took the dash, factory pillow top seats, everything. They did atleast put a rusty rearend out of the car that just got a lot faster... How considerate... This really shows how much you need insurance on your toys. He just had liability, so total loss. Bad deal... Chris

Re: Stolen car!!!
Wow, that really sucks for your friend. Could he not get full coverage because of the race mods and such? My youngest son has a '86 Monte Carlo LS G Body that has been completely re-painted and body work finished to it. Just recently had it appraised for insurance at $9,500 because of things like this happening. He bought it him self with my wife and I co-signing for the loan. He was born in '86 and it's his "first" car. Just this weekend we pulled the front bench and installed Monte Carlo buckets matching the interior.
Again, sorry for your friend's loss on his Cutlass, it was a nice looking car.

Re: Stolen car!!!
Thanks. Also got some more lovely news today, Memphis pd called him and wanted to do an investigation. Then preceded to tell him he owed the $145 tow bill and some impound fees. So, he just told them to keep the car and scrap it for their tow bill. They told him, thats what most people do. Just rubbed me the wrong way. I'm sure he could've gotten full coverage, but we're from a small town, where stuff like this doesn't happen. Just had liability. Bad deal...
