installed my factory power brake booster today

I installed my factory brake booster today and WOW what a difference! I put power steering on my 6 cylinder truck 20 years ago and that made a huge difference also. I wish I had done this years ago!!

It didn't take long an hour or two at most, and most of the time was cleaning everything up ( bolt heads and the aluminum bracket, etc. )

Nice truck! So it looks like you still have drums all around?
This might be something I could do until I install my front discs next year.
Is that a 292?

Awesome, looks great! This is something I am considering also. Any plans on going to a dual res master cylinder with split lines?

Yup, it is easy to do and makes a world of difference... I was going to do the 6 hole rotors on the front, but after this I may just stay drum.

It is a 250 engine

Was thinking the 6 hole disk ( as mentioned above ) and considering the dual master cylinder and split lines, but I am very happy with it right now... power made a huge difference

Re: installed my factory power brake booster today

If you don't mind me asking how much do you have into the booster project and are the parts easily available?
Thanks!

This factory booster assy I got off Ebay, $20.00 plus $25.00 shipping for the booster, bracket, pedal, alum. bracket, all bolts, etc. Complete assy off a running driving truck. cheap

I have bought them at swap meets for about the same price.

$5.00 can of paint and couple bucks in vaccum hose, so about $50.00

Watch Ebay and the swap meets, I have 3 extras that I have picked up here and there for less than $50.00 for an entire change over

Someone had one posted in the classifieds of this forum, check there.
