Headliner question
I am in the process of re-doing the interior on my 1991 suburban, new seats , leather covers, new carpet , painted all the trim. I am about to bring my headliner to my upholsterer to be recovered.
He asked me to strip off the fabric and foam, it wouwld be easy because the glue dries out and they practically fall off. Not likely it's not wanting to come off , the fabric came off and left a surface too rough to attach the new fabric to. How do I remove the foam with out destroying the headliner board? Re: Headliner question
When i had my sagging vinyl headliner i ripped it all out and it left the glue behind which looks darkish so i then just took a broom to it and it basically fell off and i have not seen another truck where the old glue did not just come right off unless maybe someone has done something recently to yours
But here is my finished product for 40$

Re: Headliner question
It's been quite a while since I have done one, but I think I used a wire brush to do it.
