Congrats Bob! I didn't get to do everything I wanted to do. Just got some panels sprayed. Been working on getting our 77 Starcraft camper done. Maybe next weekend I'll have the truck sprayed.

Re: What did you get done 9/16/12 edition

Congratulations Bob, I relocated the push button for the manual glow plug control i had installed a few months ago. Also disassembled the dash to troubleshoot my radio which hasn't worked since purchasing the truck last year. So far removed the aftermarket JVC radio and got a new radio wiring harness, radio, & speakers from the pick & pull. Plan to try and get this working this week.

Re: What did you get done 9/16/12 edition

Congrats Bob!! Well, I was gonna re-assemble my vent windows and get my door hardware back in. I fought those 1 piece weatherstrips for about 3 hours. They are swill... I'm sending them back and getting the 2 piece with the metal clips and then I guess I can get the doors together. Got the ft bumper & lower air deflector on.

Re: What did you get done 9/16/12 edition

Congrats!

I actually got the use the truck for some dirty duty now that I got the TBI swap running in my 84'. Used it to haul about 15 gallons of oil/antifreeze/trans fluid that has been stacking up in my garage to the recycling center. I was hoping to get out to the junkyard and pick up a filler hose for my new 20 gallon tank and a new vent window (mine is broken), but a good 4 day soaking rain ruined that trip. We definitely needed the rain though!

Other than that, the wife and I spent the weekend with our two new kittens that we adopted, Cheddar and Pumpkin.

Re: What did you get done 9/16/12 edition

Congrats Bob!!!

Got a new tailgate from Chuck (thelonerife) and went to town. First I made a run to pull apart after chuck and i confirmed that it needed 81 - 87 brackets just like Trout said.

Got a set of brackets and then went and took it down to bare metal. A little bondo and then hit it with some self etching primer followed by some primer.sealer

Sanded it down with 320 and hit it with some Blitz Black

Originaly

I think it needs a little adjusting as it sits a little lower on the passenger side and when u close it it drops down....Looks good IMO though

Congratulations Bob! Did not get much done to the truck, added white letters to the chevrolet logo on the tailgate and fitted new lock chains on it.
Browsed the local adds and found a nice 383 stroker, called the guy only to find out that he sold it an hour earlier

Fixed up my Jeep to sell (new window regulator). Did some tuning and test drive on the TPI C10, and looked at a 6.2 Suburban. Suburban was ehh.

Congratrs Bob!

I have been working on learning how to rebuild my Q-jet. I took it apart, but I figured that in order to rebuild it, I needed to understand how it worked first. Bought Cliff's and Doug's book and doing a little bit at a time.

I hope to get it running sometime this week. The fuel filter looked like a cross between a prune and a shriveled finger, haha.
