Free parts with pics this time. lol
I been blabbing about good free parts with no pics. Well here they are. Brake booster and pedal is already spoken for. I also have the driver stepside fender with spare tire brackets. I am looking for a regular stepside fender to replace it. Also have heater assembly as well. All appear to be in good shape. I have the spare too. This truck hasnt been on the highway for about 5 yrs but the owner did drive it around his property. As you can see it isnt bad. I just dont want to scrap good stuff. Pics show condition before and after I pulled from my frame.
1. front and rear axles and suspension parts, spare tire carrier(fender), heater assembly. Last edited by thump16; 10-08-2012 at 10:51 AM. |

So what exactly are you giving away? The entire rolling frame or the axles? I love those wheels...

I would love to have the rear axle housing (including differential), axle shafts and rear wheel housings (assuming it's a six bolt).

The area circled is what I was asking about. I have never seen a bolt in member for that spot. Its always riveted to the frame

Re: Free parts with pics this time. lol
My first TF truck was a hydramatic. I was 15 when I bought it and had little background with cars. I spent a huge amount of time trying to figure out how to trade out the 235 / auto for a 283 / standard. I just couldn't figure out how the engine mounts were supposed to go because the crossmember pictures in the service manual weren't bolt in and mine was. None of the old timers I asked remembered it being bolt in either. I actually ended up buying a '58 283 + 3spd truck so I could use the frame under my '55 big window cab.
