Steering column/dash mounted dimmer switch
Im wondering what my options are as far as getting the dimmer switch up off the floor. Im a T-9 Paraplegic so i dont have the use of my legs to hit the dimmer. Is there any sort of switch to add a dimmer to the steering column or the dash? The way my 92 dimmer in the turn signal lever works is great, but not sure that would be easy to add to the 72. Prefer somthing that wont stick out like a sore thumb.

Re: Steering column/dash mounted dimmer switch
Why not put a switch on the column some place and wire it to trigger the lights. All the dimmer switch does is direct the current to the high are low beam of the lights. All you need is a 3 way toggle switch mounted to the dash where you can reach it.

Re: Steering column/dash mounted dimmer switch
I wonder if the column out of a late 80's truck where the dimmer was moved off the floor would work in a 67-72. I forget what year Gm did this but I had an 82 suburban that still had the floor dimmer. And if I remember correctly, the 84 pickup I had for a short while had it on the column. You would also get more security by having the key in the column and a locking wheel.
