T-5 guys - Show Us Your Shifters!! *pics*

The T-5 has become a popular swap in these trucks. I thought it would be better to start a new thread dedicated to the different shifter combos that are possible.

Lets see your T-5 shifters!

Please provide info on who makes the shifter and the length if you can. Are you using the Camaro or S-10 tailshaft? Part #s and or links are a big plus..

Re: T-5 guys - Show Us Your Shifters!! *pics*

I used the following:

Stick: Lokar 16" Double Bend http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Lokar-...Inch,7428.html

Shifter: Ordered from the ebay gent below this shifter: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Core-Shifter...item53ef728e81 (Note this is not the exact one I purchased, I purchased an upgraded one with adjustable shift stops - but I didn't see it listed anymore. This one will work though. Also note - he will separate the parts - i.e. I bought a separate stick, ball, and boot - so he sold me JUST the shifter outright at a reduced price - great guy, easy to work with).

Ball: White Lokar 5-speed (Ivory, looks like a stock original Hurst 5-speed with no logos (just like old Hursts didn't have either - hust has the 5-sp pattern) - available in bright white or black also http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Lokar-...nobs,7429.html

Shifter Boot: Early 70's Dodge shifter boot (Dart/Demon, etc). This fit nicely over my asjustable stops - if you don't have those, might be able to use a smaller boot - Didn't use Mr. Gasket or Hurst, wanted the option to paint the stick black, stick a door knob on it and have something that looked "kinda" stock.

I highly recommend this gent on ebay for the shifter - he's cornered the market on Hurst T5 S-10 shifters, bought much of the inventory when Hurst discontinued. Have purchased from him multiple times and he's been great. Even a refund with no problems when I accidentally ordered a Camaro T5 shifter.

Note - do NOT order a Camaro T5 shifter for an S10 tailshaft - Camaro transmissions were canted a few degrees, and therefore, in order to make the stick upright, the stick itself is canted the same amount of degrees to offset the cant. If you have a T5 stick that is bent right at the bottom, it's a camaro shifter. S10 shifters are straight.
