Re: How to clean rear power window switch
I used a wire brush to clean the 6 copper contacts and square copper pce. Use dielectric grease after on copper pse's. I also stretch the springs out a little.

Re: How to clean rear power window switch
This spring returns the up and down switch back to center after pressing up or down. If the switch returns on it's own in the center you don't have to take the beezel off or the switch off. You can remove just the contacts and clean them.

Re: How to clean rear power window switch
I am sorry for the pictures being out of order. This picture should have been second after removing the bezel . Grab the switch with your fingers and twist thumbs out and index fingers up. It should pop loose. If your up and down switch returns to center, after you push up or down you don't have to do this step or remove the bezel in the first photo.

Re: How to clean rear power window switch
Nice, glad you did this. My rear heat/ A/C switches aren't working and are identical to your rear window switch.
This ought to come in handy. |
