a clear case of a truck and Art colliding
This morning I headed over to my friend Eric's house to swap some parts and get a cup of coffee. Little did I know that I would be blown a way by the complexity and artistic statement that his truck will make in the year to come. I know a lot of you have seen Eric's truck here on the forum, and a few may have even seen it in person. Mind you we're only talking about the Chassis. Pictures do no do this Truck justice........ As i stood there drinking my coffee I could not help but think about how cool it would be to cruise down the street in this truck, and the sheer performance that this thing is dripping with.. At that point i started to look at it as a rolling art statement that it has evolved into, and the smooth flawless lines that the chassis is made up of. The number of bends and welds on the frame were too many to count . I guess when you start with a solid Innovative design , a over the top foundation , anything you add to it seem like just an after thought ..... my hats off to Nate the true artist here . and to Eric with the vision and the ability to bring Ideas , form ,and function to the next level. It will be a shame to ever cover this frame with a body. Here are a few pictures from this morning . Enjoy!

Re: a clear case of a truck and Art colliding
Forget about driving it or owning it or having one like it, that's all beside the point. You should be wearing out your welcome in there learning everything you can from him!
Nobody builds something like for a reason, it's built for the sake of the build. Good mentors are hard to find. I can't tell you from looking whether he's doing everything right, but he's certainly detail oriented!

Re: a clear case of a truck and Art colliding
That is certainly a piece of artwork. Does he really want to hide that under a body?
BTW,Tony,I expected to open this thread and read that you ran your truck into a statue or something like that

Re: a clear case of a truck and Art colliding
That is just gorgeous, I would love to do that, but up here we are not allowed to modify or build frames for vehicles unless they are cad'd engineered, ................. the rest. But man would that thing be cool to roll in!!

Not only does he have a lot of talent that I wish I had but also it takes a lot of cash to do something like that, and I also wish I had

Re: a clear case of a truck and Art colliding
Some men paint, some men carve wood sculptures and some men fabricate. That frame is not meant to be covered by a truck body and driven daily. It is to be put on display and admired. The truck body should be put back on a oem frame and finished and enjoyed as well.

Re: a clear case of a truck and Art colliding
that is an absolutely gorgeous frame!!! i love this forum for this reason, some of the creativity, talent and budgets far beyond my salary allows!! beauty.
if you read through nukes build thread youll see the hassle he had to go through (and i believe still is) after modifying his frame. dont want to thread jack but the laws in canada are a little tighter. |

Re: a clear case of a truck and Art colliding
I will be in the minority for saying this, and maybe even unpopular, but here goes....
When I see that, I can't help but think its excessive, unnecessary, and silly for a pickup truck. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: a clear case of a truck and Art colliding
I too, thought it would a shame to cover that frame but to think so would be an acute underestimation of Eric's ability. The rest of the truck will measure up. Don't doubt me on this.
