1987 single headlight to 1991 suburban 4 headlight wiring

Ok guys, I searched and searched and found no good answer. I put the '91 sub core support in my '87 1 ton today, and need to know exactly how to wire it up. My truck was a custom deluxe, so it only had 2 headlights. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. I can chase down wiring if I have to, but I'm in a hurry on this deal and can really use help.
Thanks,
Kirk

Dont quote me on this but i think you can get the light harness of that 91 burb and put it on your 87
or you can just wire it up from scratch find your high beem, make it your top or bottom and low beam,
just get a test light then splice in to wire that is hot when you switch from high/low

Did you not get the 4 head light wiring harness? Because if you did it should just plug in where the old one did

yep. get the harness, it's plug and play.

if no harness, get a test light, turn lights on find the high and low and splice them.

its only lights, one ground, one power for low, one for high.

If you don't have the harness, this would be a good time to relay the headlights. The stock wiring was mediocre at best.

Re: 1987 single headlight to 1991 suburban 4 headlight wiring

I've got the entire harness, but the '87 is totally different from the '91. The blades are bigger, and it's configured differently. The '87 has 10 wires total, and the '91 has 12 I believe. If it was plug and play I would've done that already. The only way this is a plug and play is if you change the fuse box out. But thanks for the info lol.

Besides not having to buy another harness, another benefit of relaying the whole deal is you'll be able to run all 4 lights at once when switched to high beam.
