i don't know what this tack was in orignally i took it out of my 67 landcruiser $50.00 local pick up only.

Very cool. Your tach is a standard aftermarket Sun unit that could have been purchased new for anything with matching volts and cylinders. It probably dates to around 1965 because the head has the zero adjuster button on the front. The pinch cup it’s mounted in had been around since the mid-late 50’s and was falling out of favor by the time the black dot appeared on the face.

Here is a earlier version that I used......it was a truck tack so that is why the rpms only go to 5000

I had it updated with new internals that did away with the old transformer box........Kieth


This tach was stock in the GMC's as well as the sun batometer....

it was in a project fj40 that was a basket case so i never tried
