350 missing

Looking for a advice on why engine is missing intermittently. Usually a miss and can be at acceleration or when smoothly running down road at constant rpm.

It will do it once, and then stop for maybe the whole trip. Running fresh gas, and haven't had this problem until recently. Hoping this is not oil leaking. Still watching carefully the oil pressure etc. Hopefully just a carb adjustment?

Thanks,

Check your plug wires and Dist. Cap. Are you using an HEI dist? (pointless) If not do a good tune up!

Didn't think of the obvious. Thanks, I'll check on it.

Yea, running an HEI on the truck. Like a lot of people, I've got my dipstick right tight under heater box. Maybe pulled a wire off when putting dipstick back in.

Re: 350 missing

I had that once...turned out to be a plug wire arcing on exhaust manifold. Found it looking at the motor at night.
