Props to my buddy (Chava) for painting my tailgate with some left over paint he had laying around for FREE...Just had to buy some hardener... I removed the 5 year old (cracked) decal over the letters and it lifted the paint off..So my buddy says lets just paint it and it will look better...He repainted the black and went over the letters and border with white

I really love it and it stands out. What do you guys think?

Matches the whitewalls on your tires. Looks Good on your black truck. Wonder if it would look as good on my white truck with a black border.

Good question. While I love what the OP did (looks great!!!), I think the simple black letters alone on your white truck would look better than if you added a black perimeter. But, that's just me, I do think it would look GOOD, but I like yours just the way it is. But if you do paint it, I can't wait to see it!!!

WhippinSaw I say do it!! You see alot of color on the Chevrolet letters for these tailgates but not to many on the border...

WhippinSaw, I say go for it. Do you also have the black around/behind your grill? I think if you have the black surround on the tailgate and also around the grill, it would look good

Thanks for the responds on the black border. I don't think it would look as good as doobies black truck does but I have to try it anyway. I don't have Black around the grill but I just sprayed the interior black. So I have a dark theme. I Might try pinstriping first to see how that looks. Couldn't find any other white trucks with a border on the tailgate so I will post mine when I try it out.

Thanks the help and ideas, I am trying to match some of the outside to bring it together with the black inside, I didn't think the border by itself looked good. But maybe if I blacked out the bbw and painted my barden bumper black?
