pics of how you ran fill hose on rear mounted tanks
Hey guys I have heard of lots of different fill hose ideas but have seen no pictures how did you all hook up your fill hose to your rear mounted tanks?
I am gonna buy the boyds tank and would like to see some pics of how you all hooked them up I am also trying to decide if I should get the top fill and just go thru the bed floor but my truck is 4x4 and has a 8" lift and will have 38" tires so will be tall and I think the fuel doors look funny on these beds |

Re: pics of how you ran fill hose on rear mounted tanks
I dont have a picture, but I just wrapped my filler hose up this week. I have an LMC rear mount tank. The problem was the flush mount bed filler I had was 1.5" and the tank is 1 and 3/8" on the neck. SO I used a copper 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" reducer. The 1.25 end fit perfect in the neck on the tank. I also sweated in a 1.5" street 45 to get the neck pointed up instead of angled. I Right now I have the bed off, so I just have about 6" of fuel fill hose contacted to the filler and the neck. Hope that makes sense!

Re: pics of how you ran fill hose on rear mounted tanks
Another option if your filler does come up directly between the boards - looks like this is off a rice rocket - could even probably get a key - that might be kind of interesting - like this look a bit more than the other option I found.

Re: pics of how you ran fill hose on rear mounted tanks
I bit the bullet and ordered mine today - I'm not much of a fabricator so I'm going to try my luck with the floor and that way I get a couple of shots to get creative (being that I'm going to try to cut my own new floor boards) - saw somewhere on here where someone posted the measurements and which dato blades to use. Post up some pics when you get yours done I'd love to see where you ended up with it.

You could do something like this since it's a lifted 4X4...

Re: pics of how you ran fill hose on rear mounted tanks
yes bigred thought about that but at the same time if I ever go play in the mud after the money I am spending might cry if it gets messed up but I also live on gravel so that option would not work. Could end up with to much junk in the tank even thought about going strait out the back but not even sure I like that idea

What about behind the rear license plate?

Re: pics of how you ran fill hose on rear mounted tanks
IF you put the filler neck in the wood bed and you spill gass all over the place it will become an issue.
Behind the license plate would work or If you want to do "a little" modification you could open up one of the rear stake pockets and run it inside and bring it out inside the bed up off the floor.

Not the most practical but it is a better set up than what I had. I will figure out a more permanent fix later.

Re: pics of how you ran fill hose on rear mounted tanks
I did this with mine when it was a step side. The cap is from a Ford Mustang of the 2000 yr models. It was a pain when I had stuff in the back and had to put gas in. .

Is your truck a fleet or stepside trav? I have a stepside and we ran it to the top of the fender and put a popup motorcycle cap on it idk if I have pics I'll look.
