Re: 61 chevy rear shocks.
Where have you been looking? There are many to chose from Jegs, Summit, Speedway, LMC you can google for any of those, www.ClassicParts.com would be my choice they have a good selection....Vernski

Re: 61 chevy rear shocks.
Gabriel did have a shock for these but I think it was discontinued...
On my last 62 Short step I ran these with 2" drop blocks which should not affect shock specs. Try the late 70's Dodge 2wd (D100)... yes Dodge. The rear shock is a very close match other than the sleeve width which is easily ground down to the stock mount width dimension. Extended / compressed / etc. - near bolt in solution. Monroe Gasmatic 59045 @ $20 over the counter. Good luck bob |

Re: 61 chevy rear shocks.
I used a pair of stock shocks from an 81 on the rear of my 66.. Top bolted in just fine but the bottom sleave had to be shortend to work in the lower mount..

Stock I run Pro Comp 3000s. Brake out a tapemeasure run the eye to eye length. Lots of places will give stock and drop lengths.
