power window regulator

my driver side regulator broke the other day and i had to replace it. the only one i could find at a J-YARD, the rivet is almost in as bad of shape as mine. i really wanted a new one, but i had to get it fixed. anyway i was at my buddy's SALVAGE YARD , i had one that looks almost new he gave me, but it from a 79. the only difference is the bottom brace where the motor mounts is curved back about an inch. anyone know if this will make a difference. if it will work or not. im not in hurry to fix it right now but i dont wanna waste my time on it eather if it wont work. he also gave me the passenger one for future use.
