You didn't say how much he said he wanted.

Re: What would you pay for this?

I would say $1000 to $1500. Mine was in the same shape and I paid $1000. But I think that one is a big back window.

Re: What would you pay for this?

It is indeed a SBW, unfortunately. Im going to pick it up on saturday. He is not moving at all from his original price. I have been looking for a 63-66 short bed fleet side in my price range for months with no luck, so i'm going to pull the trigger on this one. Sold my 82 and just got my tax return back so I will be able to throw a lot of parts at it. This should be fun...

Re: What would you pay for this?

That pic was just at the right angle to make it look like a BBW I guess.

I had a '72 1/2 ton 2wd pickup in somewhat rough condition about 10 years ago, and someone asked me how much I would sell it for. Since it was my only transportation at the time, and I would have to get a different vehicle, I told him $1000. He immediately said it isn't worth that much. I told him he didn't ask how much it was worth, but how much I would sell it for, and that automatically made my particular truck worth that much.

He dropped the question at that point, but came back three weeks later and asked me if I had changed my mind on the price. I said no, and he handed me 10 $100 bills.

Often it's not what the market generally goes for, but what seller and buyer are willing to agree to.
