rim widening

was wondering if anyone knows someone that widens rims! i have been thinking of getting some 6 lug truck rallys and have 2 of them widened from the 7-8in. to 11-12in. All i'm wanting done is to have the extra inchs added to the backspacing!! i have yet to get the rims, i have a buddy that has a set, but wants to wait til he get another set of rims! i'm not in a hurry to get this done just wondering if someone knew someone that could do it and about how much it would cost! thanks for any help!!

Re: rim widening

Stockton wheel can make them any backspace you want. The only drawback is price. They cost as much or more than most aftermarket wheels.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: rim widening

From there web site;

Weldcraft Wheels is your source for expert repairs and fabrication on your custom or factory wheels. We specialize in wheel modification (aluminum or steel). We widen and narrow wheels. We also move your centers when possible. When widening we use a band of material of the width requested, so no second donor wheel is required. On aluminum wheels we V-Groove and hand tig each seam for maximum penetration. Steel wheels are stick welded and tig welded on opposite sides.
