Nice truck! Did you ever get the tcase shifter worked out? Mines connected but i just realized it pretty jerry rigged which is probably why I have to get under the truck to shift it. LOL!

Re: 61/63 4X4 Build Thread
Thanks guys! ya I made a shifter bracket but im not real happy with it, it will work for now but once i get it running ill focus more energy on that, Ive seen some shifters people use for demoliton derby cars that bolt on to a th350 or 400 using the 4 bolts on the tail stock, that look pretty clean!

Re: 61/63 4X4 Build Thread
Well ive made some more progess but its been slow. I got everything wired up, had a rochester rebuilt to go on it and have it all hooked up. I got my brakes all plumbed, my engine is ready to fire up once i get a battery on monday and then its just to get some exhaust done (imthinking about a universal kit from speedway) and im ready to roll, minus one thing, a windshield. If anyone has a windshield within about 150 miles of Perley MN, please let me know! im short on cash with going to school so im looking for a used one!

Re: 61/63 4X4 Build Thread
The direction of my build is to make a 61 gmc 4x4 that i can drive every day if i want to, so thats why i have power brakes, auto tranny etc, st some point I would like to add EFI. I know in many folks eyes its a cobbeld togeather truck, ive added up theres parts from 7 diffrent 60-66s in here, no all of it is period correct but I like it! I want it to look as stock as i can except for the 70s style rally wheels, and paint it varsity blue. We have a 1962 GMC tandem axel grain truck on the farm that my grandpa bought brand new, its never been on the road in the winter and gets its oil changed once a year and can still pass a DOT inspection even though we only haul branches with it haha, I think it would be neat to have a matched pair!
