Ordered this setup today.

Flex-A-Lite 536288

Actually got it through advanced auto parts, free shipping and 20% off. Took some measurements and I think this is going to it my radiator like a glove. I will give some feedback once it is in and I can test fit it to the radiator.

Fan setup arrived today. Looks like it is going to fit awesome. Going to notch the top holes and should be all set. I am going to get it mocked up and then mounted this weekend. Stand by for pictures and an update.

Not sure what you mean by version. It's just regular 3 core radiator. Got it new from summit last summer. They were about the only place that I could still find the true brass and copper radiators.

As promised, pictures incoming. The fans are supposed to move 2500+ cfm per flex-a-lite. I will say that i am very pleased with how it fits and looks. Install was really straight forward. I made one modification to the top row of mounting holes on the shroud. Probably didnt have too but better safe than sorry. All i did was slot the holes to allow a little extra room to drill into the radiator headers. All in all, super easy and fits great! Will be happy to answer any questions.

So for $200 to my door, you cant beat it.

Some additional information.

-The gap on each side is no more than 3/8 of an inch.
-I plan on using the painless wiring relay kit (thermostat and ac controlled)
-The shroud is very nice and thick. Seems to be really sturdy, not flimsy
-I did run a bead of silicon all the way around the back side to seal the fan shroud to the aluminum shroud
-Next project will be to machine a header for the top. That should be fun
-Went back and forth on painting, liked it better aluminum.

Let me know what you think, good or bad. Wont hurt my feelings. LOL

Wow, that looks better than I expected. I looked them up on Adavance's website last night and applied a coupon. That's a killer price for a dual fan setup that fits. I didn't pull the trigger. I wanted to see how it turned out for you. Thank's for test fitting and posting pics. Do you have a controller kit for the fans too. If so what did you buy? I have the Jeep fan that was posted a few years back for my project but I never really liked the idea of having a shroud surrounding it. I like your setup better.

No problem. I love it and couldnt be happier. One other thing to note. The core of my radiator and the top and bottom header of the radiator are flush. I know i have seen some where the core actually sticks out farther that then the headers making the header recessed a little bit. If it is recessed, not really sure this will work for it. But for mine, the results were awesome.

Guess the real test will come when i install it and drive the truck around. LOL. That will be a little while out as i am in the process of installing the new motor and tranny. Crazy how one project snowballs into 10. LOL

Tell me about it. I set out to just lower my truck and install a non smoking engine 7yrs ago.

Then it snowballed from there. Glad the fans are working out. I'll be waiting around for the test drive and results. I'm just gathering parts while working on the frame and cab.

Just wanted to throw an update out there on the electric fan setup. It has been running great in the North Alabama. No overheating issues at all after 500 miles of driving. The painless harness works great kicking on when the ac is on or when the engine temp hits 190. In really bad stop and go traffic in 100 degree heat, it crept up to about 200 on the dash gauge but the fans were able to upull it back down. I am really pleased with the setup. And no issues with the AC either. Cools great. Thought some might be interested on the real world performance of these.

Looks very nice and easy to install. I made something like this myself with an electric fan kit (fan itself, fuse, relay, sensor, wiring) and a sheet of aluminum. Total costs: $80,-

You can make it fit 100%, choose the depth and choose you fans. You almost can't spot the wiring anymore as I placed it in a little water tight black box.
