1960 Grille question

I recently picked up this chrome grille for a 60 i believe, and got it polished up like new. This made me wonder if it was a chromed grille or a polished stainless? Has very few pits and the grille support is rust free. What are these grilles worth? I got a great deal on it and the support. But it polished up really well, a lot better then any 64-66 grille ive seen. So I was wondering if anyone knew what it was. Bought it for my 61 K10 but then remembered they were different so it might be going up for sale. Thanks Ignore the spots on every picture. Awesome phone quality

Re: 1960 Grille question

more pics. Its a lot heavier than the 64-66 grilles too. Which is why im wondering whether its a polished stainless or chromed metal or something. Probably a dumb question but oh well

Re: 1960 Grille question

The 64 was a car we bought about 15 years ago. Then I bought it from my dad since it was always my favorite. Its all original 75k original miles. Not an SS but its power steering and brakes. Original 300hp 327 and 4 speed are in it with a witches hood tach and bench seat. All factory car, and you can take it out even when its a little wet out. Just put the cragars on last year. Makes it look like a beast. Here are some pics.

Re: 1960 Grille question

The options where painted or chromed steel or aluminum. Have never seen a 60-66 stainless grill.

Re: 1960 Grille question

I got the bends straightened out last night. Nothing a little bending wouldn't fix. Very few pits in this thing and makes me wonder if it wasn't a replacement at some point

Re: 1960 Grille question

Well, there are no repops. If its been replaced, it came off another 60 Chevy...
