Fuel Gauge Is Whacked Out... Any Ideas?
The fuel gauge on my 66 is acting goofy. (Tank behind the seat.) Any idea what the problem is or at least where I should start?

I wonder if it has anything to do with the radio, almost seemed to go with the voice.

Check your ground. If I recall most gauges work on electric resistance. So you are not getting a steady reading. I would try cleaning the ground attachment real well. Next would be to check for any broken insulation. If the wire is moving around it could be intermittently contacting a metal source and grounding out. I would also check it with a multimeter. You may discover the voltage reading to the gauge is "all over the place" causing the needle to bounce. Last thing I would check is your fuel gauge. check the windings and the posts. Good luck. I had a gauge do this on my 59. One of the posts were loose.
