Radio Help

I already posted a thread about this in the truck audio forum but no responses yet. I'm trying to put a new radio and speakers in my truck but I don't know how many speakers to get. I just need to know where all the speakers are and how to get the old ones out.

Re: Radio Help

the only factory speaker in my 77 is the one in the center of the dash. i replaced that with a more modern brand i have 2 6x9s mounted on each side of the cab corners and 2 rockford 12in r1 subs and a 1800w amp. sounds amazing

Re: Radio Help

Would there be speakers in my doors because have that louvered panel at the bottom of the door and I thought that might be where a speaker would be located.

not stock, but could have been added, its a vent
look in the door opening, see if there are wires/rubber boot going threw the gap to the body
like here

but usally thats for windows and locks
if you have stereo front speakers, they would be in the corners
mono would be in the middle hole
what kind of plugs are wired to the radio would tell
