Re: dash removal

All the switches need to come out before you can remove the cluster assembly.

Re: dash removal

That tach has to come out and shipped to me in Oregon. Where I can take very good care of it.

Re: dash removal

So i have the ignition out, and the wiper knob is off. On the lights i have the knob off ,but on the back side where you press the spring loaded switch the black box is what i need to figure out.

Re: dash removal

you have to remove all of the switches, etc., the headlight knob has to come out, but the headlight switch must also come out. Ignition switch, wiper switch (not just the knob), headlight switch, lighter, what else, um, choke... it all has to come out.
Let us know how you make out.

Re: dash removal

dont forget to disconnect speedometer cable and oil pressure line. the headlight switch is easy, the bezel will thread out from the front dropping the switch out the back. then disconnect the harness. the black cover stays attached to the switch
