How do you use your truck?
Just curious as to how others use their classic beasts.
Mine is my weekend chore truck. Tomorrow I'm hauling a load of trash to the burn hole.

Re: How do you use your truck?
I'm a woodworker by trade and one of my K10's is my shop truck. It's hauled ALOT of hardwood and sheet goods and has sparked quite a few conversations at the lumber yards and hardwood distributors.

Re: How do you use your truck?
Mine's a cruiser. I put about 4000 miles a year on it from April to October going to cruise nights and car shows.
I'd love to have one as a daily driver, also.

Re: How do you use your truck?
I take my avatar truck on every estimate I go on(I'm a general contractor) since the restoration I've put 12,000 miles on her & I drive it as much as I can.
I also have a 70 stepper I drive to the motocross track every weekend& ride. Both are fully restored and the funny thing is people ask me How can you drive that truck here in the dirt? I tell them if you can't drive it everywhere you want to go what good is it to own it? I say drive em no mater how nice or how bad they are! Cheers, Pat Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: How do you use your truck?
Mine is a daily driver unless I'm going into the city (New Orleans), then my wife and I switch. She loves driving it now that it has PB/PS.

Re: How do you use your truck?
I don't haul anything in it, but I sure don't baby it either. She see's A LOT of WOT runs and some hard driving. She's my stress reliever at times. I'm actually surprised I haven't torched the 700R yet.

Re: How do you use your truck?
I agree, I had a blazer before and felt bad running it into the ground. I like them best behind the wheel, not parked....although they look great doing both.

Re: How do you use your truck?
I use mine to wipe the smile off the faces of rice burner, New camaro, and new mustang drivers.
They don't like it when a 4,000 pound truck can either beat them, or keep up with them. Gary

Re: How do you use your truck?
I use mine as trucks and general transportation, same as always. Treat them real carefully, just as always. Just don't drive on salted roads for the past 25 or so years,if it's on I want to stay nice.
