side trim on 65
I am restoring a 65 chevy c10. I have all the chrome from the cab forward and was wondering what you guys thought about using the old trim. It has some minor scratches and a few dings but overall the trim is in good condition. I want the truck to look new once I am done with it. It will have new paint inside and out. Can I polish the chrome to look new or should I just buy all new trim? Also the bed trim will be new since I don't have it will it match ok with the old?

Re: side trim on 65
Go new trim my friend, Mark-k has the best quality product out there, Im saving for some of that trim now. If you go used, then your truck will not be as nice as you want it IMO.
Good luck!

Yeah you won't have any problem selling the old stuff at all.

Re: side trim on 65
If you do decide to sell the old trim please let me know, I'm interested. I'm restoring my 65 and I have a couple of missing/broken pieces I'm looking for.

Re: side trim on 65
Just been through some research that may help, as far as pricing on the new: LMC cheapest then Brothers on sale then Mar K. This forum hands down said Mar K best as is US made, but there was one Brother fan too...some real good pointers about going cheap just not being the way to go. The thread was Chrome moulding (Mispelled no one noticed!)

Re: side trim on 65
swb, I need the top piece on the drivers door and a couple of pieces on the passengers side. I would have to look when I get home to know to know exactly which ones. I would be willing to buy all of them from you and then I can mix and match to use the best pieces.
