Dumb question on OBD II splitters.
I need to get an OBD II splitter for my ls swap so I can run my gauges. I've looked on eBay and found them ranging from 25.00 - 8.00. Is there really any difference quality wise? I do t know enough and can't tell from the descriptions if there is any real difference. Anyone recommend a particular brand? Don't want to spend more than its really worth, but don't want to buy junk either since it will be running my gauges.
Thanks! Shawn Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Dumb question on OBD II splitters.
Hmmm, I run computer-run gauges as well, but I just unhook them when plugged into HP Tuners, since it has all the gauges within it.
I suppose its like any cable or networking product; price has some effect on quality, but isn't the only factor. I suppose its fairly hard to differentiate them, since all the wiring is internal and can't be too different. Maybe a noticeable difference in connector quality? Otherwise something small like using a phone-cord style cable (I prefer this some cases).

Re: Dumb question on OBD II splitters.
Thanks for replying. I'm glad that you understand where I'm coming from. They just seem to all be identical with no noticeable (at least not in pics) difference. I was hoping to have a nice setup so that I wouldn't have to unplug the gauges, but I guess at the end of the day it doesn't really matter huh.
