700r4 is IN.

got her bolted in. Next the transfer case and misc. mod's.. Fit like a glove. its a beautiful site. After a little fiasco with cheap flexplates, I bought an SFI approved Pioneer flexplate for my 400 and this thing is SWEET. DONT waste your money on a non-sfi flexplate if anyone ever needs to buy one. I got a brand new mini starter to round off the entire setup.. Im so anxious to drive it that I cant think straight. But patience, my child, patience. I must do the entire installation correctly, plus bowtie overdrives wants a LOT of information from the first startup, to start the warranty. But its all downhill from here. Being 1.75" longer than the th350 it replaced, Im HOPING I can at least throw on my rear driveshaft just to take her around the block.. cuz new driveshafts is going to take a minimum of a few days and I cant even take em in until monday... anyhoo I just thought I'd share.... I'll post again when I have more progress..

Hey Mike, I'll be looking to put one in mine next. Last week I put new gears in the rear (3:73). Runs a pretty high rpm so the overdrive in the 700 would be great. My 84 has the th350c, and I think I read here that the drivesaft won't fit. I'll be waiting to see how yours all works out and what the cost was. Hang in there!
